Licensing Requirements
VertiGIS Studio Access Control is licensed software. To obtain a license, contact Customer Service at customerservice-ca@vertigis.com.
Requirements for Access Control Servers
Hardware Requirements
If Access Control is installed on the same machine as ArcGIS Server, Access Control's hardware requirements are met.

Operating System Requirements
Access Control servers require Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, or Windows Server 2025.
If Access Control is installed on the same machine as ArcGIS Server, Access Control's operating system requirements are met.
Web Server Requirements for VertiGIS Studio Access Control Servers
Access Control servers require the Internet Information Services (IIS) feature of the Windows operating system. The Post Installer application automatically enables IIS by enabling the Web Server role, along with the Application Initialization, ASP.NET 4.5, Windows Authentication service roles and all of their service role dependencies. It also installs Microsoft Application Request Routing 3.0 and IIS URL Rewrite Module 2.
If you uninstall Access Control, all previously enabled IIS features remain enabled.
.NET Requirements
Access Control servers require .NET Framework 4.6.1+.
Security and Firewall Requirements
When implementing VertiGIS Studio Access Control, you must protect your ArcGIS Server site with firewalls that secure access to ports 6080 and 6443. For details, see the following ArcGIS Server documentation: Firewalls and ArcGIS Server.
Access Control Designer Requirements
Sign-in
To sign in to Access Control Designer, you need an ArcGIS identity. For details, see ArcGIS Identity.
Supported Browsers
Access Control Designer runs in a supported browser on a workstation computer. Mobile devices are not supported.

▪Microsoft Edge (Edge Legacy is not supported)
Suggested resolution is 1920 x 1080, or larger.
Requires an ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS account.
ArcGIS Requirements
ArcGIS Identity
To sign in to Access Control Designer, you need an ArcGIS identity for your organization's portal. This identity must be associated with an ArcGIS Administrator account.
If you do not have an on-premise portal, you can sign in with your ArcGIS Online account and manage your on-premise services.
ArcGIS Web Adaptor
The recommended, and most common, deployment of Access Control requires ArcGIS Server to use the ArcGIS Web Adaptor. However, other deployments are also supported. For details, see Reverse Proxy and/or Load Balancer Deployments.
Supported Versions of Portal for ArcGIS
VertiGIS Studio Access Control works with Portal for ArcGIS 10.8.1 or later.
Supported Versions of ArcGIS Server
VertiGIS Studio Access Control works with ArcGIS Server 10.8.1 or later.
To configure access using geometry filters, you must be using ArcGIS Server and the protected services must be published from ArcGIS Pro rather than from ArcMap. Your ArcGIS Server must also have the Geometry Service enabled. If you are applying geometry filters to public services, the Geometry Service must also be publicly available. VertiGIS Studio Access Control uses the following first-party, strictly necessary cookie for authentication purposes:

Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) Requirements
By default, ArcGIS portals (including ArcGIS Online) allow cross-domain requests using Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS).
If your portal has the default Organization | Settings | Security | Allow Origins settings, you do not need to do anything.
However, if both of the following are true, you must configure those settings and add the Access Control Designer as an allowed origin:
▪Access Control Designer is on a different domain than the portal.
▪You have modified the Organization | Settings | Security | Allow Origins settings from the defaults.
