The steps to set up the Geocortex Mobile App Framework on
Obtain an ArcGIS Runtime SDK license.
The Geocortex Mobile App Framework ships with an ArcGIS Runtime SDK Basic license that is registered to VertiGIS. To allow offline editing using the App, you must obtain an ArcGIS Runtime SDK Standard license code. If you are not going to support offline editing, but you want the App to be associated with a license that is registered to your organization instead of to VertiGIS, you must obtain your own ArcGIS Runtime SDK Basic license.
Obtain the installation package.
You can either download the package from the Geocortex Support Center or obtain a customized package from Geocortex Support.
Configure viewers to be available in the App.
If your App supports multiple viewers, you must configure which viewers are available in the App. This step does not apply to single-viewer Apps.
Configure offline maps and basemaps.
If you are going to support offline use of the App, you must configure the maps and basemaps that you want to be available offline. If you are not going to support offline use of the App, you can skip this step.
Create and deploy additional resources.
You only need to do this if you have resources that you want to make available to end users, for example, locale files.
Deploy the installation package to a server that end users have access to, and provide them with the package's location.
If you are responsible for installing and configuring the App on end user devices, you can skip this step. You only need to do this step if the end users themselves are going to download and install the App from a server.
If you experience an error when you try to use the Geocortex Mobile App Framework to access a Viewer hosted behind a firewall, see Unable to Load a Viewer Hosted Behind a Firewall.
The following steps are performed on the end user's device.
Allow the installation of non-Play Store apps.
Install the App on the device.
Register the App with Essentials.
The end user only needs to do this if the App is not preregistered in the installation package.
License the App using your ArcGIS Runtime SDK license.
The end user only needs to do this if the license is not preconfigured in the installation package.
Download additional resources.
The end user only needs to do this if you have made additional resources available that the user wants to use, for example, locale files.
