Set Form Element Error Activity

Description

The Set Form Element Error activity assigns an error to the specified form element. This activity is typically used with the validate event of a form element.

Usage

Use the Set Form Element Error activity in a validate event to display an error to the user and prevent the form from submitting.

If you use a Set Form Element Error activity, make sure you also use a Clear Form Element Error activity to clear the error. Otherwise, the form may get stuck in an invalid state.

The form element to apply the error to, specified as an expression or ID. For example, =$form1.state.autoComplete1 or autoComplete1. Leave Element blank to target the form element that the subworkflow belongs to.

The error message to apply to the form element.

Type: Boolean

Use this to control when values should be considered Markdown.

The default is true.
