It is possible to use a custom public-facing URL for Server Workflows. This URL is saved in the Server Workflow and then used by the client for communication with the server when running the workflow.

To configure a custom Server URL:

1.Navigate to the data directory in your VertiGIS Studio Workflow installation.

To find out the location of the data directory, open the VertiGIS Studio Workflow Post Installer and look on the Data panel.

The default location for the data directory is C:\ProgramData\Geocortex\Workflow.

2.Edit the portalsettings.json file as an administrator. Most of the settings you see here are managed through the Post Installer.

3.Add the following name/value pair ("name": "value") to PortalSettings:

▪WorkflowServerUrl: The public-facing URL to be used when running a Server Workflow. This must be a valid URL for the server that this configuration file is for. It will not work if this refers to a separate installation of Workflow Server.

4.Save and close the file.

5.In IIS, recycle the VertiGISStudioWorkflow application pool.
