Dimensioning Editor

Prev Top Next More

Dimensioning is the process of displaying measured distances or sizes directly on a map.

Dimension features help users understand spatial relationships between objects.  For example, the width of a road, the distance between power poles, or the length of a pipe segment.

With the Dimensioning Editor, you can:

Create new dimension features that display precise measurements between points.

Edit and update existing dimensions, including geometry, labels, and text placement.

Align dimension text with map features for improved clarity.

Work with both Esri dimension feature classes and VertiGIS-specific dimension classes, depending on your project’s requirements.
