With the ArcGIS Pro Create Feature Class dialog, you have to create a point feature class. A suitable spatial reference must be selected.

In addition to the predefined fields, the listed specific fields of the Dimensioning Editor are to be parameterized:

Via the ArcGIS Pro administration the following functions are applicable to the new feature class:

•Add Global IDs

•Enable Editor Tracking

Finally, the feature dataset into which the feature class was integrated must be re-versioned.

Defining a dimension feature class is necessary even if users only want to create construction points (and not dimensions) with the VertiGIS dimensioning tools. The dimensioning tools are used to pick up the positions on the map, which are then used to create the construction points.
