A host application is an application from which users can run VertiGIS Studio prints. You can configure host applications to run prints directly, or, if you use VertiGIS Studio Workflow, you can configure host applications to run workflows that run prints.
You can host a print layout in different types of host application without modifying the layout. Similarly, you do not need to modify the print to run it from a workflow.
