Reporting uses the modern ArcGIS pattern and ArcGIS Identities to author and access content and applications. Reporting uses an Esri portal to store your reports. You must have either ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise Portal 10.8.1+.
You require an ArcGIS Identity to create and share VertiGIS Studio reports.
Report Designer runs in a desktop environment with a minimum screen resolution of 1280 x 720.
Designer supports the following browsers:
▪Chrome
▪Firefox
▪Microsoft Edge (Edge Legacy is not supported)
Report Designer requires a 64-bit browser.
VertiGIS Studio reports run in host applications. You can use the following applications to host reports:
▪VertiGIS Studio Web 5.27+
▪VertiGIS Studio Experience Builder Widget 2.4+ for Esri Experience Builder Developer Edition 1.16+

▪Microsoft Edge (Edge Legacy is not supported).
Clients require a 64-bit browser.
To use local resources in reports, you must use on-premises Reporting. The VertiGIS Studio Reportingcloud servers cannot resolve your server's host name to connect to the server. For more information, see On-Premises Reporting vs. Cloud Reporting.
VertiGIS Studio Reporting works with Portal for ArcGIS in ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1+.
If Portal for ArcGIS is secured using Windows Integrated Security and anonymous access to the portal is disabled in IIS, you must install the VertiGIS Studio Web Adaptor Extensions to allow VertiGIS Studio Reporting to communicate with Portal for ArcGIS. The Service Account configured in the Post Installer must be an account recognized by IIS on the Portal machine.
A faster CPU and more memory improve the performance of VertiGIS Studio Reporting. We recommend that your server surpass the minimum requirements.

On-premises Reporting servers require Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, or Windows Server 2025.
You can use a recent desktop version of Windows, such as Windows 10 or 8.1, for development and basic testing. However, they are not supported for use in a production environment.
On-premises Reporting servers require the Internet Information Services (IIS) feature of the Windows operating system. The Post Installer application automatically enables IIS by enabling the Web Server role, along with the Application Initialization, ASP.NET 4.5, Windows Authentication, and WebSocket Protocol service roles and all of their service role dependencies.
If you uninstall on-premises Reporting, all previously enabled IIS features remain enabled.
On-premises Reporting servers require .NET Framework 4.8+.
On-premises Reporting does not expose any ports, so you do not need to adjust your firewall settings. VertiGIS Studio Reporting (including Report Designer) relies on the ports that IIS uses (ports 80 and 443 by default).
VertiGIS Studio Reporting does not use cookies.
By default, ArcGIS portals (including ArcGIS Online) allow cross-domain requests using CORS. If you configure the Organization | Settings | Security | Allow Origins setting in the portal that you use with VertiGIS Studio Reporting, then you must add VertiGIS Studio Reporting as an allowed origin.
The origin to allow depends on your deployment:
▪ArcGIS Online with Cloud Reporting: If you use ArcGIS Online with cloud Reporting and your organization has configured the Allow Origins setting in ArcGIS Online, then you must add apps.vertigisstudio.com as an allowed origin.
▪ArcGIS Online with On-Premises Reporting: If you use ArcGIS Online with on-premises Reporting and your organization has configured the Allow Origins setting in ArcGIS Online, then you must add your VertiGIS Studio Reporting server as an allowed origin.
▪On-Premises Portal for ArcGIS with On-Premises Reporting: If you use an on-premises portal with on-premises Reporting and your organization has configured the Allow Origins setting in your portal, then you must add your VertiGIS Studio Reporting server as an allowed origin.
