The Add Layer from an Esri Portal method allows you to add layer data from a specified Portal source.
To add layer data from an Esri portal:
1.In the Layer List component, configure the Layer Actions to include the Add Layer from an Esri Portal menu item.
2.Navigate to the Layers tab, click the three-dot menu, and select Add Layer from an Esri portal.
The Choose Layer window opens.
3.Use the following filters to search for the layer data you want to add to your map:
•Source: Specify where in the Portal the layer data lives (My Content, My Groups, My Favorites, Organization Content, Public Content).
•Item Type: Select the layer type (Feature Layers, Map Image Layers, Tile Layers, Imagery Layers, Layer Files) .
•Tags: Search for layers by their assigned tags.
•Date Modified: Enter a Start to End date range for when the layer was modified.
•Date Created: Enter a Start to End date range for when the layer was created.
The available results automatically populate as you specify the filters.
4.Select the item that contains the layer data you want to add to your map.
5.Click OK.
The Choose Layer(s) window opens.
6.Select the layer.
7.Click OK.
The new layer appears in the map.
