A Container activity provides a way to organize a workflow and encapsulate logic. An author can drill into a container to reveal the logic within it. You can also nest Container activities.
Consider a workflow that asks a user for input, performs processing and displays a result. At a high level there are only three steps to the workflow. Each of these could be a Container activity. At this level the workflow appears simple. Each container represents a subworkflow with the logic to implement that step. There might be several activities required to prompt a user for input. The container hides this complexity from the rest of the workflow.
