The Refresh Layer activity refreshes the specified map layer or table. Depending on what is being refreshed, this may fetch updated data or imagery from the service and redraw the layer.
A workflow may change map data by interacting directly with a feature service causing the user's current map to become out of date. This activity allows you to force a refresh of a map layer or table so that it shows the latest data. For example, the feature editing activities perform edits directly on ArcGIS feature services. The user's map won't reflect those edits until the layer that was edited is refreshed.
* VertiGIS Studio Workflow uses different versions of Esri's ArcGIS API for JavaScript depending on the type of host application. See Underlying Technologies for information.
