For a special dimensioning, different design features may be necessary. Examples:
•A calculated measure should be designed in a different form than an estimated measure
•The display should also be controllable depending on different map scales
•Different colored displays are required
All these design requirements must be parameterized by individual templates.
Because of this, there can be a large number of templates for different dimension types very quickly. A selection of these templates - be it in the ArcGIS Pro default dialogs or in a selection box in this dialog - becomes very unmanageable due to the large number.
A simple method is to group related templates. A selection can then be made using a Template Family. A template family Blue for the scales 125, 250, 500, 1000 then contains, e.g., eight parameterized individual templates.
Templates are created exclusively for individual visualizations. Positioning and alignment of texts are realized by calculation.
