VertiGIS Studio Analytics data collection is supported for Portal 10.9.1+.

To add a portal resource:

1.From the Analytics dashboard on the Portal server, navigate to Settings.

2.From the bottom left of the dashboard, choose Portal for ArcGIS from the Add Resource dropdown.

3.Click the "+" icon.

4.Select an agent from the dropdown. (Optional: If an agent has not been installed on this server, click Add New Agent).

5.Click Next.

6.Enter the Portal installation path and click Next.
 

 

The remaining steps are applicable to Portal for ArcGIS 12.1+. For previous versions, please follow the instructions that can be found in the Analytics documentation for Analytics 1.7.

7.Configure access by entering the Portal URL and the Client ID (App ID) and Client Secret (App Secret) of a developer credentials item configured in Portal for ArcGIS for Analytics data collection and click Next.

It is recommended to use an item that is dedicated to Analytics data collection and to protect the item from accidental deletion. This ensures its security settings are unlikely to be accidentally changed or lost.

Because a Client Secret is a long lived credential, we recommend resetting it once a year. This can be done on the Settings page of the portal item in the Portal for ArcGIS interface. Once reset, reauthorize the Portal for ArcGIS with Analytics in the Analytics Settings for the portal for data collection to continue.

8.Enter a display name that will be used by Analytics for this resource and click Finish.
