Before importing the data, you can configure several optional settings to streamline your workflow after the import completes. These options, available as checkboxes at the bottom of the Import Survey Data pane, determine how the newly created records are handled and can reduce the number of follow-up steps.

Select |
When selected, the system will automatically highlight all newly imported records in both the map view and the attribute table once the process finishes. Best Practice: Use this option if you need to perform an immediate manual check or apply a bulk update to the new records right after they are imported. |
Zoom to |
When selected, the map extent will automatically pan and adjust its scale to perfectly frame all newly created or updated assets. Best Practice: Use this to quickly verify the spatial distribution of the imported data and ensure no coordinates were wildly misplaced (e.g., points accidentally dropping at Null Island [0,0]). |
Auto save |
When selected, the system will automatically commit and save the database edits as soon as the import completes successfully. Best Practice: Use this to save time during routine, trusted import workflows. If left unchecked, the imported data is held within your active ArcGIS Pro edit session. This allows you to review the results and manually click "Discard" in the Pro ribbon if you realize you made a mistake in your routing rules. |
