The Geodata Service is an ArcGIS Enterprise geoprocessing service that processes uploaded File Geodatabases (FGDB) and Layer Packages (LPKX) for use in Studio Web. It extracts the data, performs any required processing, and creates map layers that Studio Web can display.
After it is configured, the Geodata Service supports both the Import from FGDB and Import from LPKX commands.
To use FGDB and LPKX imports, you must first publish the required ArcGIS Enterprise services and obtain the Geodata Service and Display Service URLs. These URLs enable Studio Web to process the uploaded files and display the resulting map layers.
For instructions on publishing the services and generating the required URLs, see the Support Center article Configure the Studio Web Geodata Service for FGDB and LPKX Uploads.
