The Dimensioning Admin tool lets you create and configure the feature classes and styles required for dimensioning in VertiGIS Studio Desktop. You can use the tool to create construction and dimensioning feature classes with all required fields, and to create and edit style families that control the appearance of dimension text.

Dimensioning Admin does not create or edit measurements. Measurements are created using the Dimensioning Editor, which uses the feature classes and style families configured in Dimensioning Admin.

The tasks of the Dimensioning Admin tool are as follows:

•Create Class: Create a dimension feature class, construction point feature class, or both.

•Add Styles: Create a style family from an existing dimension style.

•Modify Styles: Update supported properties of an existing style family.

The Dimensioning Admin tool is accessible via Studio Toolkit > Dimensioning.
